New Kit!

We're finally getting some new kit!
Please sign up below by WEDNESDAY 20th! I will be making the order then as that's the last possible date for us to get it by Mixed Tour 1.

Sizing information is here - row 2. We are getting Lookfly Sublimation jerseys.

If you are playing tour with St Albans you must buy kit!
We'll let you know prices as soon as they are confirmed, but two shirts should be £49 and around £15 for a pair of shorts.

London Winter League - Save the dates

Just a heads up that London Winter League is round the corner and you should save the dates:


Sunday 4th November = Open & Women's Hat
Sunday 18th November = Mixed
Sunday 16th December = Mixed
Sunday 6th January = Open & Women's Hat
Sunday 20th January = Mixed
Sunday ? February = Open & Women's Hat
Sunday 10th February = Mixed


We're hoping to send at least 1 team to each event ... last year we managed 2 to a couple!

AGM & End of Season Social

I'm pleased to invite you all the St Albans AGM and End of Season Social on Friday 19th October at the St Albans Rugby Club. Formal attire will be expected. The plan for the evening is:

7:00 - Drinks and hors d'oeuvre
7:30 - AGM, inc. elections
8:30 - Dinner & Awards
9:30 - Party

Please RSVP using the form below by Thursday 11th October, to help us prepare.

During the AGM we will be voting in a new committee. A few of the committee are standing down so we do need people to stand for all the positions. 

The Committee positions are below, you can see a description of the duties or contact the current postholder by clicking on each of them:

President - Luke Tobiasiewicz (Stepping Down)
Treasurer - Gary Hall (unknown)
Secretary - Stuart Phillips (Standing Again)
Social Secretary - Rose Bigg (Stepping Down)
Development Officer - New role (talk to Luke if you want to know more)

There are also 2 non-voting positions:

If no-one stands for them, then the non-voting roles will be allocated to a member of the new executive committee. The Welfare & Safeguarding Officer cannot be related to, or be, the President.

The committee as a whole will have an input on training, tournament, socials and development. It can be challenging but is very rewarding and fun!

To stand as a committee member all you have to do is indicate that you want to stand on your RSVP below and then email your manifesto (what you plan on doing) to info@stalbansultimate.co.uk by Midnight Thursday 11th October. Your name will then be entered on the ballot and your manifesto sent out to the club along with everyone else's when voting opens on Friday 12th October. You do not have to attend the AGM to stand for an exec position.

Rose will be asking for Nominations for the Awards shortly.

There will be a small per person cost to cover food and venue hire, but this will be part subsidised by the club to keep it at a minimum.

And back to the matter at hand, please RSVP ASAP below!

St Albans Giant Monopoly

We're going to have an session on Sunday 9th September down in Verulamium Park from 11am - 5pm. Read on to find out why it's so long and what the plan is!

We will be one of the checkpoints on the St Albans Giant Monopoly Board and are expecting over 1000 people to pass through and get a stamp from us for taking part!

So, the plan is to play a continuous game of Ultimate for 6 hrs! and feed in new people. They'll get a stamp when score a point, complete a pass, get a D, something arbitrary to get them engaged! But can keep playing as long as they like!

As well as that, if we get enough people signed up, then we're going to enter a team to the St Albans Giant Monopoly ourselves and rotate through taking part in that and playing in the 6hr Ultimate Game! Finally we'll all go collapse in the pub somewhere at the end of the day for a well deserved drink, meal & rest.
